Postpartum Check-up
Push- Prep Session
This is an In-person Session
A postpartum pelvic floor check‑up is a gentle, supportive session designed to help you understand how your body is healing after birth. Your pelvic floor therapist will start by talking with you about your pregnancy, delivery, symptoms, and goals—whether that’s reducing pain, improving core strength, addressing leakage, or simply feeling more connected to your body again.
From there, they’ll assess how your core and pelvic floor are functioning. This may include checking posture, breathing patterns, abdominal engagement, and how your pelvic floor muscles contract and relax. With your consent, they may also perform an internal exam to evaluate muscle tone, strength, scar tissue, and overall pelvic floor health. Everything is done at your pace, with clear communication and no pressure.
You’ll learn what’s healing well, what may need extra support, and how your pelvic floor and core work together in daily movement. Your therapist will guide you through personalized exercises, strategies for lifting and carrying, and tips for reducing symptoms. The goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported as you move through postpartum recovery.
